Youth Actors Workshop
Classes and Workshops
Ongoing classes meet 2 hours weekly. Enrollment is open and on a rolling basis. Classes are kept small to ensure every artist gets the individualized attention they deserve. Need-based scholarships are available.
Beginning Acting Ages 8-11 years
Whether you’re the outspoken sort, the comedian or the quiet observer, we all have a story to tell. This class is for the curious creative type. We’ll focus on listening, games, comedy, on-camera technique and scene work. Through improvisation we’ll write our own scenes, comedy sketches and characters. Students will walk away with confidence, team-building skills and their unique voice as a budding artist.
Class meets in-person Mondays 4:15-6:15pm and is ongoing. Cost $180 per month.
Teen Acting Workshop 12 years and up
This class is a deeper exploration into acting skills including: audition technique, ensemble work and improvisation. We will focus on working on-camera (TV, Film, Commercial) and creating our own work. We’ll explore scene work from different genres- comedy, drama, action, horror, to name a few. This class is great for both newer or more experienced actors who are enthusiastic about the work.
Class meets in-person Saturdays 2-4pm and is ongoing. Cost $180 per month.
Teen Scene Study Course
This is the class for teens that are serious about learning the craft of acting. If you’re committed and ready, you’'ll take a deep dive into what it takes to create a truthful performance based on relationship and circumstances. We’ll learn practical script analysis, emotional imagination, preparation, and working off your partner. This class is intended to help you find your personal truth in the story.
Class meets in-person Thursdays 4:15-6:15pm. Six week class. Cost $250.
Inclusive
Everyone can be an actor. Yup, that’s correct- EVERY body can act. No matter who you are, your age, your experience or background, all are welcome. Acting creates personal freedom you can use in all facets of life. As your coach, we will find your authentic voice, talent and let it radiate.
Ensemble
Perhaps you are preparing for your next star role in a major movie, working on a script you want to film with your pod, or just curious about what actors ‘do’. Whatever the scenario, you will learn the skills needed to work and collaborate with others- the give and take. Let’s build a supportive environment, trust the work and have fun.
Professional
Comprehensive ongoing classes include: comedy, on-camera, scene study, audition technique and much more. We will use improv, games, repetition, movement and breath. Young actors will learn how to fully listen and be present in the moment. Real skills that you can use on-set, onstage, at an audition or presenting your own work.
Fun
Yeah, it’s fun- don’t let that get around. Acting class is safe place where you can be yourself, take risks and grow. You’ll work on scripts from your fave movies, find your artistic community and laugh till your cry. Surprise yourself, make bold discoveries and have a blast while doing it.
